This rainy coastal beach wedding in Cornwall at the Carbis Bay hotel was filmed on vintage super 8 wedding film. Carbis bay is luxury coastal resort, popular for weddings due to it's location overlooking the blue waters of Carbis Bay, and it's huge choice of twelve different ceremony locations across the estate. Few venues offer this level of choice of location for couples to exchange their vows. From the beach hut, to garden pavilion or a selection of suites in the main house. This is the perfect location to get married.
Hey! I'm Caroline! I'm a wedding videographer based in Devon and filming weddings across Southwest England, including Cornwall. I have recently added vintage super 8 films to my cinematic wedding videography packages, and my couples are loving them!
The wedding morning started off with grey clouds hanging low in the sky over Carbis Bay Hotel, inside held a sense of calm anticipation with the finishing touches for the bridal party. Upstairs started to quickly fill with guests before they were ushered to take their seats and await the start of the ceremony. Katie walked down the aisle escorted by her father, here she met her groom Tom where they finally became husband and wife.
Between showers of rain the wedding party made their way down to the beach, thankfully the only thing that showered down onto the couple was some wedding confetti. After a few moments alone to enjoy the moment, they made their way back to their join their guests for a drink to celebrate, and a night of dancing.
Filmed on my lovingly restored Sankyo CM400 Super 8mm camera.
